I usually prefer a darker roast, but the flavors--especially bourbon--are so amazing as to totally intrigue my tastebuds and brain. I would really like to know how the growers do it. The lighter roast is absolutely right for these beans. Also, this coffee leaves a cleaner, complex residual flavor than I have ever experienced with coffee.
With my most recent order from Magnolia Coffee included an "All Star Select" Costa Rica natural that was headlined under the auspices of The V Foundation. From the first cup, I was impressed by the smoothness and complexity. My honest assessment, using a "100" point scale, would be to give this one a "95", which would place it among the finest coffees reviewed so far this year by Coffee Review.com. I highly recommend you hive this one a try before it is gone!
I picked this up with my latest order to try something new, especially a lighter roast. So far I've tried it in my Hario Switch 1:16 ratio both straight hot and Japanese iced style. I prefer it hot. It has a good juicy mouthfeel and smooth flavor, not too acidic. I think I'll pick this up again.
I was introduced to DreamLand on a porch in Maine, Ever since, it has become our house coffee. Whether in Maine, in Cambridge, MA, or on the road (I bring it with me), DreamLands never let's me down and always brings me home.
We discovered Magnolia Coffee a couple y we are ago and were so glad we did! We’ve tried several different roasts and settled on their Josh Daniels Grateful Blend as our house favorite. We make sure to always have some in our pantry and even take it with us when we travel. Have to fess up- we LOVE coffee and we’re so fussy about what we drink. Many friends bring us their favorite coffees as gifts, but we are rarely satisfied and always happy to return to our favorite morning cup of Magnolia coffee!
