French Press 20oz - Brewing Guide
Step 01 - Preheat
Preheat the french press with 200℉ water until vessel is warm to touch then empty.
Step 02 - Dose
Dose the french press with 37g (5 tablespoons) of ground coffee. The grinds should look like coarse sea salt. We use a 15:1 ratio of coffee to water.
Step 03 - Bloom
“Bloom” the coffee with 280g (10oz or Half way) of water and start timer. Stir twice to incorporate the coffee that has floated to top.
Step 04 - Water & Stir
Add 280g (10oz) of water @ 30 seconds then stir twice to incorporate grinds.
Step 05 - Steep
Return plunger to the french press and let steep for 4 minutes.
Step 06 - Press
Remove french press from scale and press slowly and gently.
Step 07 - Brew & Enjoy
Final Brew • Your brew should finish at approximately 4:30 • Decant Coffee to avoid over-extraction • Serve or Enjoy!
