LIGHT - MEDIUM Milk Chocolate I Hazelnut I Honeysuckle

Varietal: Red Bourbon

Our roast of this special red bourbon varietal rated in the Top 10 Best Tasting coffees from Guatemala! (Coffee Review, Sept. 2021). Producer Jesus Recinos only harvests bourbon on his farm in San Gerardo, and he's known for harvesting only the ripest cherries at their peak, and then meticulously sorting.
Tasting notes for many coffees aren't always so distinctive, but the milk chocolate in this one is hard to miss. This cup has a sweet lingering finish with hints creamy hazelnut. This is one of our favorite direct trade relationships since 2018, and we learn something new from Jesus each time he visits our roastery. Jesus' great grandfather planted coffee on the farm 75 years ago, and Jesus and his son Gerardo practice meticulous plant nutrition farming methods to ensure a consistent flavorful cup every year. This is an excellent value for this exceptional clean, washed process coffee. Enjoy.
